My Friend Schadenfreude
This is a new show I created with Gwendolyna Holmberg-Gilchrist and with live music by Jimmy Stewart (Clinkerfield and the Miserable Little Bastards). It premiered at La Mama Theatre on 26 August 2009.
The Inconsolable Woman arrives at the Sans Hotel weighed down with all her earthly possessions and the ghosts from her past. As night descends she finds her self in a desperate and unearthly adventure with her devoted bellhop - S., of floating hotels, mysterious telegrams and a party that turns into a wake. A very funny tale of longing and schadenfreude. And indecision.
